چکیده

Objective: The pathogenesis of human spontaneous abortion involves a complex interaction several genetic and environmental factors. Resistance to anticoagulant activity activated protein C (APC), often due point mutations in Factor V gene. Leiden mutation is definitely associated with pregnancy complications. In this study, we have investigated association factor recurrent miscarriage Iranian patients. Methods: 200 women included study: 100 as patients group 2 or more consecutive unexplained controls at least one childbirth without any Genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood each person. Presence absence the gene performed by coagulation test, determine homozygous heterozygous mutation, used HRM techniques PCR Kit. Results: Chi-square analysis was significant relationship between mutant G1691A loss, other variables statistical analysis, gestational age family history, statistically loss. Conclusions: results study showed that has an effective role risk complications miscarriage. frequency various countries differences different geographic can prone better management adoption preventive methods.

Recurrent Pregnancy Loss in a Subject with Heterozygote Factor V Leiden Mutation; a Case Report

Recurrent pregnancy loss is usually defined as the loss of two or more consecutive pregnancies before 20 weeks of gestation, which occurs in approximately 5% of reproductive-aged women. It has been suggested that women with thrombophilia have an increased risk of pregnancy loss and other adverse pregnancy outcomes. Thrombophilia is an important predisposition to blood clot formation and is cons...

Frequency of factor V Leiden (G1691A) and prothrombin (G20210A) polymorphisms in Population of Kerman Province, Iran

Background & Aims:Thromboembolism is an acute cardiovascular disease that ranges from clinically unimportant to massive embolism. Both acquired and hereditary risk factors contribute to the disease.
We aimed to determine the prevalence of two hereditary predisposing factor of the disease, prothrombin G20210A and factor V Leiden (G1691A) polymorphisms, in Kerman population.<br /...

Factor V Leiden mutation and its impact on pregnancy complications.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this prospective study was to find the association between the factor V Leiden mutation and adverse pregnancy outcomes. METHODS This study is an analysis of a prospective observational study of the frequency of placenta-mediated complications of factor V Leiden mutation carriers. We compared pregnancy outcomes of 11 women with a heterozygous form of the factor V Leiden mu...

Factor V Leiden mutation in pregnancy.

Normal maternal adaptation to pregnancy significantly increases the risk for thrombus formation. Inherited thrombophilias further increase risk for deep venous thrombosis and adverse outcome in pregnancy. Factor V Leiden mutation is the most common inherited thrombophilia, occurring in approximately 5% of the White and 1% of the Black populations. Nurses should be knowledgeable about screening ...

The impact of the factor V Leiden mutation on pregnancy.

A resistance to the anticoagulant activity of activated protein C (APC), most frequently due to a point mutation in the Factor V gene (the Leiden mutation), represents the most common genetic cause of thrombophilia. The Leiden mutation has been significantly related to pregnancy complications associated with hypercoagulation, e.g. deep vein thrombosis during pregnancy (8-fold increased risk), p...
